Mark L. Hurliman
Say hi to Mark.
Mark opened Hurly's Hideaway to campers in January 2024 and was named a 2025 Newcomer Award winner as one of the best new campgrounds to visit. He lives up the driveway, keeps the sites marked, the porta-potties stocked and the fire pits ready, and he's always open to suggestions from campers.

Finding us
- From Tillamook, head west on Hwy 131, about 2 miles past the hospital.
- Look for the purple Minnesota Vikings bus shack and the eggs-for-sale sign on the right.
- Turn up the cement driveway (it turns to gravel) and watch for the camping sign.
- Coming from the south on Fraiser Rd? Turn right onto Hwy 131 and we're under a quarter mile on your left.
Good to know
- Dogs are welcome off-leash on the property.
- Clean porta-potties and potable water near every site. No showers or hookups.
- Campfires allowed. Gather dead wood only. No cutting live trees and no chainsaws. Mark hopes to supply firewood on site this year, and in case he runs out, bundles are sold close by.
- Sites #3 and #4-B are now covered with wood chips. 4WD / AWD is still recommended, and no trailers on #4-B.
- You're in dairy country, so expect the odd moo from farms across the river and some road noise. Earplugs help light sleepers.
- No complaints about cell service from campers on any carrier.
Your spot under the Tillamook trees is waiting.
